Pineapple

Pineapple is a tropical fruit native to Brazil.

Pineapple is a good source of manganese, as well as containing significant amounts of vitamin C  and vitamin B1. Pineapple juice can thus be used as a marinade and tenderizer for meat. The enzymes in raw pineapples can interfere with the preparation of some foods, such as jelly or other gelatin-based desserts but it breaks down in cooking or the canning process.

The medicinal properties of the Pineapple:

  • Pineapple contains micronutrients that protect against cancer, in addition to dissolving blood clots that could form, being beneficial to the heart.
  • The ripe pineapple has diuretic properties. Pineapple contains chemicals that stimulate the kidneys and help remove toxic elements from the body.
  • Pineapple juice fights off parasites from the intestines, as well as treat intestinal disorders and reduce bile.
  • Has anti-inflammatory  properties
  • Helps speed the healing of the wounds from injuries or surgeries
